Millimeter-wave compressive holography.
We describe an active millimeter-wave holographic imaging system that uses compressive measurements for three-dimensional (3D) tomographic object estimation. Our system records a two-dimensional (2D) digitized Gabor hologram by translating a single pixel incoherent receiver. Two approaches for compressive measurement are undertaken: nonlinear inversion of a 2D Gabor hologram for 3D object estim...
متن کاملPP-Wave Holography for Dp-Brane Backgrounds
As an extension of the so-called BMN conjecture, we investigate the plane-wave limit for possible holographic connection between bulk string theories in non-conformal backgrounds of Dp-branes and the corresponding supersymmetric gauge theories for p < 5. Our work is based on the tunneling picture for dominant null trajectories of strings in the limit of large angular momentum. The tunneling nul...
متن کاملWBG devices for microwave mm-wave circuit
Future smart systems for communication and RF-sensing will have to achieve autonomous and self-reconfigurable operations, for real-time and efficient selfoptimization of their performance. The needs for such reconfigurable systems are not only to overcome the design tradeoffs that current analogue components must endure, but also to realize new and more efficient systems with improved functiona...
متن کاملMicrophotonic Components for a Mm-wave Receiver
A new microphotonic mm-wave receiver architecture with direct electrical-to-optical conversion is presented. The receiver uses high-Q RF and microphotonic electro-optic resonator components which are operated in simultaneous resonance. Initial results demonstrating modulation of an optical carrier at RF in the mm-wave range are reported .
متن کاملFully Differential mm/sub-mm Wave CMOS Amplifiers
This paper presents an effective design methodology and flow, which is validated through three mmwave/sub-mm-wave amplifiers: including W-band LNA with NF=7dB, W-band PA with PAE >11% and D-band amplifier with gain>20dB. The CMOS based amplifiers can be integrated with III-V materials to form heterogeneous integration, such as COSMOS, to achieve the best performance for various applications.
